About Us

Established in 2009, GMI POST is the digital platform of Global Media Post Ltd. that brings together selected news and analysis, as well as customized regional economic reports published in some of the world’s premier publications: Foreign Affairsthe Japan Times, Forbes, Forbes China, and Forbes Asia.

Ten years later, GMI POST is racking up new partnerships. Offering a unique vehicle for advertisers, GMI POST partnered with Kumu, the largest live streaming platform in the Philippines and third-largest social app in the world’s social media capital. Kumu has brought together millions of content creators and fans, all of them either producing entertaining features or taking part in distinctly Filipino, good-natured fun.

GMI Post Team Leaders:


Born in Canada and raised in the Philippines, Lala graduated with a degree in Management Economics with a minor in Enterprise Development. Earlier pursuing a career in business development and marketing in the beauty retail and service industry, she formed a strong and competitive spirit that has pushed her to get out of her comfort zone, explore unchartered territories and take on new challenges.

Lala was sent to Chile for her first assignment and is enthusiastically looking forward to discovering new cultures by fostering several solid connections all around the world.


Francis has been with GMI POST since 2015. He has overseen projects in several countries in Central Asia, South America, Europe, and North America. 

In the United States, he headed The Japan Times projects across 17 states with a specialization in Texas and the U.S Southwest. 


A holder of a bachelor's degree in Architecture and a master's degree in Innovation and Business, Bianca has led several projects that required her to deal with a diverse range of clients and coordinate with various professionals to get the job done.

With her extensive knowledge in business and great love for travelling, Bianca is thrilled to further explore countries, indulge herself in the richness of their cultures and diversity of their people.


Born and raised in the Philippines, Katrina initially studied Accounting Technology for three years before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Business Studies. She first pursued a career in the private equity sector.

A CFA Level 1 candidate, Katrina began her stint at GMI Post with the production of our U.S. Midwest business reports. A native speaker of English and Filipino, she is now learning French.

We want to develop and attract the best people in our industry and are constantly looking for competent individuals to run our international sales projects. The job is a combination of sales and journalism. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Identify potential clients and organize the approach to the market in a clear and organized fashion
  • Coordinate with various companies to schedule interviews with the country’s largest companies
  • Fly into a country, set up back office and administrative functions in a quick, efficient manner
  • Intelligently interview CEOs of various industries
  • Engage in face-to-face advertising sales with CEOs with the goal of signing an advertising agreement
  • Maintain good client relations and coordinate with companies regarding their chosen advertising space and ensure smooth transition to publishing phase
  • Write strong, concise articles regarding various types of companies in various industries 

Requirements

  • American, Canadian, European or equivalent passport-holders in their 20s to early 30s.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Cloud Computing (Google Drive, Dropbox)
  • Background in sales is a plus
  • Outgoing individuals and self-starters.
  • Adventurous people ready to live overseas three times a year for 2 to 3 months at a time.

Lala Cortes - Project Director
