CP World Group, a global cargo consolidator based in Singapore, wants to make Myanmar a major logistics hub for the region and attract more international expertise into this fast changing Asian economy.
With more than 10 years of experience, CP World has made its mark in the industry quickly by delivering the best services to its customers and moving into new markets earlier than its competition.
“Our competitive advantage in Myanmar is our logistics. We have an international network, which is well established. Yangon should be considered one of the most promising cities in Southeast Asia,” said CP World Yangon Managing Director Win Win Cho.
Cargo between Myanmar and the United States is among the biggest consignments for CP World’s headquarters in Singapore office and one of the largest in Myanmar. And most of its customers originate from China.
“We will be focusing on shipping and logistics because customers want packaged services. My business plan for the next two to three years is to extend our reach among companies,” Cho explained.
To achieve those goals, Cho said the company will also need to intensify the training of its junior and senior staff according to international standards.
CP World Group provides various freight services, including loose cargo load (LCL) and full cargo load (FCL) consolidations, as well as airfreight, warehousing facilities, international shipping, and ship management services.
The group has more than 180 affiliate offices across 38 countries around the world and more than 1,300 staff.
