Founded in 1935, Kilgore College is a public two-year community college in eastern Texas with a commitment to create a learner-centered environment that prioritizes student access, professional success, and course completion through local partnerships.

In the last 88 years, KC has provided quality education and specialized training to more than 150,000 students in a diverse range of fields, such as nursing, law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services, automotive technology, and radiologic technology, among others.
Not resting on its numerous awards, KC is prouder of its contributions to the city of Kilgore and its nearby communities.
“We have been a mainstay in the Kilgore community,” said KC President Dr. Brenda Kays, who believes that well-informed and well-rounded students are valuable contributors to the local community.
KC encourages all its students and instructors to participate in its Service Learning Program, which Kays says allows instructors and students to grow and learn outside the classroom.
On another front, KC has formed long-term partnerships with local institutions and businesses as part of its Workforce Development-Continuing Education Program, which offers a wide array of courses for lifelong learners, as well as customized classes businesses with specific needs. Among its partners are Worley, Eastman, and Komatsu.
“Kilgore Colelge is strong because we work together with all our partners and students to make sure that the entire community thrives,” Kays said.
