Having welcomed its first guests in 2016, Il Sereno in Lake Como has nurtured a loyal clientele that includes highly discriminating travelers. Created by Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola, who designed several high-end hotels in Europe, the five-star property follows the cue of the original Le Sereno on St. Barths in the Carribean.
Il Sereno has 40 spacious, artfully-fitted suites, each with their own balconies that offer an unobstructed view of the iconic Lake Como.
“Il Sereno Hotels was the first new contemporary-designed hotel built here. It is unique, unlike the other properties or hotels on the lake, which tend to have a more classical or traditional architectural style,” Managing Director Samy Ghachem told GMI POST.
“We were recognized by Condè Nast Traveler as the No. 1 hotel in Italy. We've also earned our Michelin star for the Italian cuisine we serve,” he added.
Aside from providing luxury accommodations and gourmet cuisine, Il Sereno also provides spa services for travelers seeking healthy relaxation amid beautiful surroundings. The staff are committed to accommodate each guest’s request to give them an unforgettable experience.
“Being a new hotel, we have a young staff that are trained and eager to engage. They are energized and committed, and they love interacting with guests,” Ghachem said.
With staff committed to guest experience, Ghachem invites travelers to come to Il Sereno.
“We're not just a hotel where you sleep. Il Sereno offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience, from checkin to departure. We are definitely worth the journey. Come here and go home with an unforgettable story. We will find every way to do that when you stay here,” he said.
