Located just outside Dallas and within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Farmers Branch is a small city with a long history that stretches back to the early 1850s. With 28 outdoor parks in an area of only 31 sq. km., Farmers Branch has been popularly known as The City in a Park.
That small-town charm, rich local history, and easy access to major urban centers have become the main attractions of Farmers Branch to young professionals, growing families, businesses and tourists.
“Farmers Branch is a kind of city where young people can come, start a family, grow up, and stay here all their lives, and still grow and develop,” Interim Mayor Bill Glancy told GMI POST.
Apart from its 30 award-winning public parks and colorful rose gardens, Farmers Branch also offers a diverse food scene, regular performances of plays and musicals at The Firehouse Theater, free outdoor concert series from April to September, and bluegrass music festival every October.
The city is also only a few minutes’ drive away from popular attractions within the Dallas-Fort Worth Area, like the Dallas Aquarium, Dallas Zoo, Six Flags amusement park, and Galleria Dallas shopping mall.
“Come and visit our extraordinary community. We’ve welcomed people from all over the world,” said the interim mayor as he invites everyone to experience the good life in Farmers Branch, Texas.
