As the United States and Japan agreed to promote each other’s countries to their own students who want to experience college life abroad, universities in the two countries have realized the importance of creating a conducive learning experience.
Yamaguchi Gakugei University has built a strong reputation in child education. It believes that its graduates will acquire the needed skills to become an excellent educator and nursery school teacher.
“Our institution was established in 2007 with the aim of training educators and childcare professionals. Our university's founding spirit is sincerity, which is a shared value with our credentials,” University President Hidetoshi Miike told GMI POST.
Since its founding more than 15 years ago, Yamaguchi Gakugei University remains very proud of all its graduates who have secured teaching jobs in various schools.
“Many of our students have been employed as teachers at elementary schools, kindergarten, and nurseries in Yamaguchi Prefecture. The pass rate for elementary school teachers that studied here is over 95 percent, which are top class results in Japan,” Miike said.
The university’s success can be credited to its new and innovative approach to child education. The leaders believe that education in the arts and in music cultivates a desire for self-expression and nurtures creativity, which leads to the formation of sensitive educators and childcare providers.
