Kintetsu World Express-Italy is a subsidiary of the Japanese air and sea freight forwarding company that has been providing more than just forwarding services for 25 years now. The company also services its customers through customs brokerage, warehouse management and fiscal representation services.
Managing Director Joseph “Joe” Aoun, who took over management of KWE-Italy last September, believes Italy can be the gateway to many parts of Europe.
Regional Head for Central and South Italy Alessandro Orlando, who has worked for KWE-Italy for 20 years, explained: “Kintetsu Italy was established in 1998 in Milan. We put a lot of effort into enhancing our skills and competence to provide our customers with a sort of one-stop shop for their business in Europe. We specialize in transport logistics, fiscal representation, standing as exporters or importers of record, customs guidance, and tax regulation.”
“We are a link between our customers and their end users. Our customers depend a lot on the expertise of our KWE staff. Our people are our strength,” said Aoun, who believes in Virgin Group founder Richard Branson’s oft-quoted advice, “If you take care of your people, they take care of the business.”
“We take care of our team and our people, and make sure they’re okay. We trust them in what they need to do and from there on. It’s a no-brainer. Success just becomes a consequence of that,” he added.
With the Italian flair and Japanese work ethics, Kintetsu World Express-Italia will continue being that bridge that brings together different cultures and connects businesses around the world for many more years as a global brand, born in Japan.
