In an industry dominated by a few players, TmaxSoft stands out because of its innovative approach to data management, as well as its unique value proposition, dedication to R&D and global reach. Unlike other tech firms, TmaxSoft offers a complete stack of software solutions ranging from mainframe rehosting, database modernization to flexible middleware.
“Tmax Soft is very unique because we are building it from the very bottom. Because of that, we are stronger in terms of security and performance, and have the optimization to redraw problems through the big picture,” said Simon Kim, Asia-Pacific Region CEO and Head of Global Planning and Support Group.
Established in 1997, TmaxSoft has more than 2,000 clients, which include Korean conglomerates, multinational firms, banks, governments and militaries. Although the company moved its head office to Chicago in 2016, its maintain a strong R&D center in South Korea.
Given its distinct expertise, TmaxSoft is well-positioned to compete as one of the leading global software developers. Despite its Asian roots, the firm has an open and multinational outlook.
“We want to make our identity as not very bound to a specific territory. We have our own Korean color, but we want to make [Tmax Soft] global,” Kim said.
In addition to its established markets in Korea, Japan and the United States, the company has begun expanding to Europe and the rest of Asia. It has already partnered with Chinese and Indian firms and planning to enter Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan ahead of launching its new cloud database, Tibero 7, by end of 2018.
Kim said Tibero 7 “will make unlimited scalability possible and differentiate our technology power.”
Tmax Soft is also set to hold its first global event, Transcend, in May of 2019.
