Founded in 1906, Campbellsville University is a private, Christian university has grown beyond the city, expanding its enrollment from 3,400 students at the start to more than 12,000 students spread across seven centers in the state and Los Angeles, California.
“We opened a center not too long ago in Los Angeles and are opening in Canada as well. Our mindset is to reach out and find deserving, qualified students. I think that's been in our DNA, and it's the same going forward. We want to continue to reach and find the best, the most deserving student who's ready to contribute to society, to contribute to the workforce, and to make a difference,” said Campbellsville University President, Dr. Joseph Hopkins.
Campbellsville is committed to bringing together a spirit of innovation, a wide network of learning, and a diverse range of academic programs and learning opportunities.
“Campbellsville University has a wonderfully hospitable environment for students, faculty, and industry partners from other countries. I don't know of another institution with such diverse potential,” Hopkins said.
“We have students from 92 different countries. The connect the community to the world and make current international events personal. This is our family, and what happens in their culture happens to all of us,” he added.
Meanwhile, Hopkins is most excited about the university’s relationship with Japanese because of the wealth of opportunities for partnerships and friendships. As the hotbed of technological innovation, Japan should benefit from Kentucky’s status as the country’s capital of electric vehicles.
“The realm of technology and technology management could be a really rich place. We've always had a strength in the management areas for different fields, whether it be healthcare, technology, or engineering. We'd like to continue to explore those opportunities,” he said.
