Sigmind.ai, which claims to be the first AI startup in Bangladesh, is leading the transformation of conventional surveillance systems into cutting-edge security solutions. Through its Central Intelligent Video Management Systems (CiVMS), the startup can turn CCTV cameras into AI-powered intelligent cameras that can identify, save, and reveal the full faces of people even if they are wearing face masks.
In a conversation with the Dhaka Tribune, Managing Director Tanvir Tabassum shared, “Our system can recognize a mask-wearing face with 87.3% accuracy, while in the case of a person not wearing masks, we can detect and recognize people with 99.4% accuracy. Also, we can determine the sex and dress color of a person from black and white CCTV video footage.”
According to Tabassum, this level of precision aims to enhance security measures and minimize biases often associated with traditional surveillance methods.
By harnessing the power of deep learning, Sigmind.ai has effectively democratized access to advanced security solutions. Its ability to retrofit any standard camera with artificial intelligence capabilities signifies a paradigm shift in the surveillance industry. Now, organizations can leverage state-of-the-art security measures without costly infrastructure overhauls.
Adding new applications
The applications of Sigmind.ai's technology are manifold, and transcend traditional notions of surveillance. Beyond security, its systems are useful in various domains, like retail analytics, vehicle recognition, crowd management and estimation, and public safety initiatives.
With its method of accuracy and adaptability, Sigmind.ai is set to revolutionize how societies approach security and surveillance.
Furthermore, Sigmind.ai's commitment to innovation extends beyond technological advancements. It prioritizes ethical considerations and ensures that its systems adhere to strict privacy standards and mitigate potential biases. This dedication to responsible AI deployment underscores its commitment to not only revolutionizing security but also fostering trust and transparency in the digital age.
