Heavy equipment and industrial parts dealer HPS Indonesia has experienced robust growth over the past 17 years, thanks to the support from its principals in the United States and its growing line of products and services.
Director Husni Thamrin explained: “We have six or seven principals in the U.S. and we work very closely with them. They give HPS Indonesia the authority to sell, not just in Indonesia but also in Southeast Asia.”
Servicing the oil and gas, mining, and agribusiness industries, the Balikpapan-based company sells a wide range of products imported from Australia, Germany, and other parts of the world. In fact, more than 75 percent of its product line comes from the United States.
HPS Indonesia’s clients include top German equipment manufacturer Liebherr, Brazil-based mining company VALE, and Indonesian mining contractor Darma Henwa.
Thamrin said: “We’re open to new products. Every year, there are new players with new technology’s coming in. Anyone doing business with us will find good products and service, and transparency about the price.”
To support its clients around the country, HPS Indonesia has opened branches in Jakarta, Samarinda, Sangatta, and Banjarmasin, and satellite facilities around the country.
HPS Indonesia hopes to secure more products to distribute, build a technical training center, and sending its employees to its locations to develop their skills to international standards.
