Established in Canada 20 years ago, Promation is shifting its sights to in search of partners in the region to sell its self-designed and tooling, automation and robotic systems for the nuclear and automotive industries.
President and founder Mark Zimny, a Polish-born engineer who began his business from his basement, explained: “I was recently in Korea looking for a partner, a company similar to mine. That’s my recipe for Asia.”
Zimny believes there are many Koreans looking for good businesses in North America and Promation, based on research carried out by top global consulting firms, is an ideal partner for these Asian investors.
Aside from designing and manufacturing tooling, automation and robotic systems, Promation has also produced customized equipment and turnkey systems for many of its customers in the automotive, nuclear, and manufacturing sectors around the world.
With the robust growth exhibited by Korea, Taiwan, and India, Zimny wants to focus his efforts over the next two years on those countries, particularly in Korea, a country that leads many other countries in car manufacturing and shipbuilding.
Aside from its expertise in the automotive sector, Promation is also reaching out to nuclear power companies to provide technology for their reactors.
